The
territory known with the name of Roero, covers
an area of 416,86 Km² and includes 24 Municipalities.
It makes up the North-Eastern sector of the province of Cuneo, on
the borders with that of Turin in the North, and that of Asti in
the East. The Southern border is on the river Tanaro, in the spread
of land that from Pollenzo touches Alba and then heads in the direction
of Asti.
In this area you will be able to take a look at medieval landscapes,
and you can admire others that seem stolen from renaissance paintings:
masterpieces of art and nature. The Roero is a mosaic made of unique
breathtaking cards. Nothing more needs to be added to this
description: the reasons that make people want to know Roero and
go back to it are not easy to explain, and it would be diminishing
to try and sum them up in a few sentences.
Roero means discrete experiences, small signs, personal
feelings. Roero means following the superb flight of
a hawk until the eye can see, it means seeing the footsteps of
a fox on a white blanket of snow after a snow storm. Roero means
seeing the last golden rays of the day running along the walls
of an ancient castle, it means the fire of colours that breaks
out in the woods in autumn. Some of the adventures that you can
live in Roero, such as following a path and finding an unexpected
church in the woods and being captured by its spirituality, are
unforgettable.
